At HELLO KTTN, we are proud to be among the first British Shorthair breeders in Australia working with the rare Dominant Blue Eye (DBE) gene.

This remarkable genetic trait produces striking blue eyes—sometimes paired with a second copper or amber eye—creating the captivating odd-eyed appearance admired around the world. Unlike traditional blue eyes seen only in pointed cats, the DBE gene allows brilliant blue eyes to appear across a wide range of beautiful coat colours.

Occasionally, DBE cats may display the enchanting odd-eye combination of one sapphire blue eye and one warm copper or amber eye—like our wonder-boy GARY and Hello Kttn Cinderella, the first Dominant Blue Eye British Shorthair queen bred in Australia—making each kitten truly one of a kind.
